For several years, I had to “struggle with the juggle” of an action packed life as a full time university administrator, philanthropist, board member, and entrepreneur while being fully present with my husband and two sons.
Now as a peak performance strategist I am committed to equipping executive women with timeless principles that maximizes their productivity, so they can have an influential executive presence that is energized and makes an impact.
Hi, I am Shemeka Brathwaite!

After spending over a decade in adult and higher education, Shemeka Brathwaite established her own virtual training academy for purpose-driven leaders. She is often invited by organizations, associations, and educational institutions to provide inspiring programs on productivity, leadership, and executive presence. Her energetic messages are the result of her background as a spoken word artist. She has performed in open mic venues such as the Nuyorican Poets Café, The Afrikan Poetry Theater, The Poets' House, and in the choreopoem stage play "The Poets' Testimony." I was not operating in my true potential in my career and life. I was stressed and filled with anxiety because I was constantly under scrutiny with the Human Resources department and placed on a 30-day performance probation plan or risked termination.
I was always giving off the wrong w.o.w. factor (worried, overworked and worn out).
Ever since I was eight, I grew up yearning to be a fashion designer. I went to the High School of Fashion Industries and then to Syracuse University to major in fashion design.
I was so excited to be the only classmate to have a job lined up for me after graduating from college into one of the most competitive industries.
Little did I know, I was in for a rude awakening. I was not taught how to navigate corporate politics, manage my workload, speak the industry language, and work with diverse professionals of all ages and leadership styles.
Ironically, after spending eight years training formally in the art of fashion design and couture techniques, I lacked confidence and a sense of style. My mindset and appearance resembled what some have called “Mattie Mae: The Premature Grannie.”
I immediately went on a self-discovery mission to learn what I can do flawlessly. Afterwards, everything changed when I identified and focused on confidently applying my signature strengths and systems to my career and life with astonishing results.
I am now on a mission to teach professionals on how to discover, leverage and slay their DISTINCTIVE FACTOR in their careers. I’ve had the opportunity to impact thousands of professionals on their career journey, and for that, I am blessed.
